Questions & Answers

Ask a Question
  • Hi I am installing a new to me gas fireplace heatilator gc300e. It has a 5x8 dvp connections. I am looking for suggestions on a horizontal termination kit, but it will be in a windy area. I was looking at the Napoleon GD8TVK 5"x8" Direct Vent Fireplace Venting Component Top Vent Kit and wondering if it would be good for a windy location? If not do you have any recommendations? The vent comes out the top of the fireplace and up about 5 ft then turn 90 degrees and go horizontal and 3 ft to the termination. I was thinking of using the Napoleon flex venting for this. Would this be good or do I have to go with the rigid pipe. Could I get prices as well. Thanks Ryan

The manufacturer decides which venting brands are approved for use with their fireplaces.  For your Heatilator you will only be allowed to use the DVP venting components listed.  I can send you a quote with the appropriate components, according to your measurements, and allow for some flexibility with slip sections of venting.  When measuring for rigid pipe, it's easiest to do so using the center of the vent, not to the top or bottom.  In order to send you a quote, I'll need your email, just get in touch at  Thanks for your question!
