  • What is the difference between a smart tv wall kit and the Heat zone kit? They look the same. Do you need to buy a kit for each zone? Does the remote operate all on the vents?

The two kits are very similar.  The difference between the two is that the Smart Wall kit includes an additional interface which connects to the main control board of the fireplace to control the blower and the fireplace.  With the Heat Zone kit, the blower is manually operated by a variable speed switch typically located on the wall near the outlet of the blower.  With the Smart Wall kit, the blower must run first before the fireplace turns on and will continue to run after the fireplace is shut off to disappate the remaining heat. This process is all automatic and although the remote kit is required, it is merely for the operating interface, you can not operate the blower independently of the fireplace as it's purpose is to make sure there isn't too much heat rising to a TV installed above the fireplace.  The Heat Zone kit can be operated independently, you decide when you want the blower to operate.  The Heat Zone kit does not operate with the remote but with the variable speed switch installed near the blower.  Thanks for your question!
