Tahoe Premium 36 Fireplace includes a tempered glass view window and a four-piece log set, mounted atop our legendary Slope Glaze Burner for a rich flame pattern within a taller, deeper log stack that complements the deeper fireplace.
1. What is the difference between the ignition types?
The Remote-Ready Millivolt (Millivolt with On/Off Switch) works with any of our battery operated Thermostat Remote Controls, or connect to a simple wall switch or wall thermostat. The Intermittent Pilot (Intermittent Pilot with On/Off Switch) saves even more energy by eliminating the standing pilot - yet can still operate in a power outage with a battery backup. The Multi-Function Control includes Variable Remote control to control flame and blower with a battery back up.
2. Why am I required to purchase a barrier and door set with the fireplace at additional cost?
The fireplace is designed for use with these items. Without these items, your fireplace would not function correctly and would look incomplete. The items are an additional cost to allow you to choose which look you like best.
3. How will the fireplace be delivered? Will the delivery driver bring it into my house?
All fireplaces are delivered via freight (tractor trailer truck) to the specified street address you provide us, we do provide free lift gate service with all freight deliveries. The delivery driver is only responsible for unloading the items from the truck, not to move them anywhere. For more information on the delivery process visit ourFAQ page.
4. Where are the accessories for this fireplace?
You can find all of the available options on the accessories page.
Our fireplace vent is blacked. Can these units be rear vented?
This model can be vented from the rear only if you are using natural gas. Thanks for the question!
The diagram she’s the vent out of the back of the stove. Is that the case? If so it can be vented thru the exterior wall w/ the appropriate wall exhaust termination? Thanks
This unit can be vented out of either the back or the top of the unit only if you are using natural gas. Propane models should be vented from the top. Even if you are venting off of the top of the unit, you still have the option to use an elbow and terminate horizontally through a wall. Thanks for the question!
How much wall space is required on each of the "back" sides for this corner fireplace? I'm trying to figure out if it will fit in a corner of a room in a house we are thinking of building.
This is a zero-clearance unit meaning it requires 0' inches on the back to combustibles. Thanks for the question!
Is it possible to use rear venting on a propane direct vent insert?
Yes, there are fireplaces that can be rear vented when using propane. The DVP36FP is a top vent only fireplace. That doesn't mean you can't have a horizontal termination though, just that the vent starts off the top of the fireplace. Thanks for your question!
