1. What is the difference between the ignition types?

The Remote-Ready Millivolt (Millivolt with On/Off Switch) works with any of our battery operated Thermostat Remote Controls, or connect to a simple wall switch or wall thermostat. The Intermittent Pilot (Intermittent Pilot with On/Off Switch) saves even more energy by eliminating the standing pilot - yet can still operate in a power outage with a battery backup. The Multi-Function Control includes Variable Remote control to control flame and blower with a battery back up.

2. Why am I required to purchase a barrier and door set with the fireplace at additional cost?

The fireplace is designed for use with these items. Without these items, your fireplace would not function correctly and would look incomplete. The items are an additional cost to allow you to choose which look you like best.

3. How will the fireplace be delivered? Will the delivery driver bring it into my house?

All fireplaces are delivered via freight (tractor trailer truck) to the specified street address you provide us, we do provide free lift gate service with all freight deliveries. The delivery driver is only responsible for unloading the items from the truck, not to move them anywhere. For more information on the delivery process visit our FAQ page.

4. Where are the accessories for this fireplace?

You can find all of the available options on the accessories page.

5. How is the fireplace vented?

The fireplace is typically vented using DuraVent 4x6-5/8 venting components. If you need help designing the venting system let us know with an email or a phone call and we can assemble a custom solution for your situation.

Questions & Answers

Ask a Question
  • Manual Lists Compatible Vent Systems for DVP48FP...including Simpson Duravent GS. It appears that Duravent Replaced GS with "Direct Vent Pro" product line. Is Duravent Direct Vent Pro pipes compatible?

Yes, DuraVent Direct Vent Pro venting would be compatible with this unit. Thanks for the question!

  • Features section describes liner options for the DVP48FP, but this page only requires selection of Fuel Type, Ignition Type, and Safety Barrier. If no liner is selected, is the unit able to operate (i.e. Is there a no cost/default liner option that comes with this fireplace?)

If you choose not to have a liner for this unit, it would come with a flat black painted interior. Thanks for the question!

  • Does this fireplace fit into the existing corner of the room, or do you need to cut space into the wall? I.e. if the A dimension is 49 inches, is that 49 inches the hypotenuse of an equilateral right triangle if you were looking down from the ceiling? Thanks!

It does fit into an existing corner without need to cut into the wall. Just make sure to maintain reccommended clearances which can be found on page 16 of the installation manual. Thanks for the question!
