Can this fireplace be recessed into the wall?
Yes, the Allure 60 can be wall mounted, partially recessed or fully recessed. Check out the excerpts from the installation manual in the images above to see how the Allure 60 can be installed using the included wall bracket or building it into the wall
What are the electrical requirements?
The Allure 60 is equipped with a standard plug for any outlet, it requires a 15 AMP, 120 Volt circuit. It is not required, but recommended that the circuit be dedicated, as additional electrical draw from other appliances may trip the breaker. The Allure 60 can also be hard wired, you can see the hard wiring instructions in the images above.
What's the difference between the Allure and the Allure Phantom?
The difference between the two models is that the Allure has a glass face, which gives it a gloss appearance, while the Allure Phantom has a mesh front, which creates a matte appearance and eliminates the glare from the glass face.
How much does it cost to use the heater?
That depends on your electricity rates. The current average is $0.12/KWH, the Allure 60 uses 1.5 Kw/H on high, so it will cost around $0.18/Hour to operate.
The rough opening for the Allure 60 (NEFL60FH) is 21"H x 55-13/16"W x 5"D. Thanks for your question!
Does the heat come out from the top of the fireplace or the front?
The heat comes out of center vent in the front of the fireplace above the flames. You can just see the vents in the main pictures of the fireplace, and if you scroll through the pictures there is a close up of the vents as well. Thanks for your question!
Can you turn on the flames without turning on the heat?
Yes, using either the remote or the on screen controls (which dim when not in use) you can turn on just the flames without turning on the heat. That's one of the great things about electric fireplaces. Thanks for your question!
Can i place a TV above the fireplace without a mantle separating them?
Yes, you can. Napoleon requires a minimum of eight inches from the top of the fireplace to a combustible mantel, so we use that as a base measurement for a TV as well, although TV's are generally more sensitive to heat. We recommend allowing more than the minimum distance between the top of the fireplace and a TV if possible, especially if you plan to use the heat on a regular basis. Thanks for your question!
